Modernization and electrification of Zaprešić - Zabok railway line

We reconstructed Zaprešić sectioning plant, constructed local and remote control of contact network disconnectors at four train stations, built a transformer station for powering the heating system of switches and auxiliary power supply systems, modernized the traffic management, control, command and signalling infrastructure sub-systems, developed a new signalling and safety devices at train stations at along the railway lines, level crossings, telecommunications, power supply devices, switchgear, heating system for switches, technical protection, control and PROZA NET management.

We carried out a wide range of works for HŽ Infrastruktura within the project for the modernization and electrification of Zaprešić - Zabok railway line, including the construction of the power, traffic management, control, command and signalling infrastructure sub-systems.

As part of the electrification of the railway, works were carried out on the Zaprešić sectioning plant, local and remote control of contact network disconnectors and 25/0.23 kV column transformer stations for powering the heating system of switches and railway stations.

Rail traffic management and control, command and signalling sub-systems were installed along Zaprešić station - Zabok station section, and along the corresponding sub-sections towards Krapina, Varaždin and Stubica.

Equipment for the electronic signalling and safety devices was installed and commissioned at the railway stations Novi Dvori, Luka, Veliko Trgovišće and Zabok, with corresponding automatic block signalling devices, together with control equipment at 16 level crossings, which will secure high safety levels.

The control, command and signalling sub-system features multiple power supply functionalities in order to meet the highest redundancy criteria. The power supply system and low-voltage network failure detection system feature automated controls of all sub-systems.

Switchboard heating system, telecommunications system and technical protection systems were also installed and commissioned.

PROZA NET, management and monitoring system developed by KONČAR, collects the status of all sub-systems - telecommunications, fire alarms, technical protection, switchboard heating, low-voltage network and power supply and utilizes displays to deliver system status information to dispatchers and facilitates maintenance services.

The realization of this inaugural project is a significant credential for KONČAR in modernization and electrification of railway infrastructure, specifically in the segment of traffic management and control, command and signalling sub-systems. Most importantly, the completion of this project is a reference of the expertise and a mark of commitment to advanced projects. We have once again affirmed our competence in promptly meeting customer needs, providing a modern and reliable management and monitoring system.
